The Kali Audio LP-6 is part of the company's Lone Pine series - it is one of the most expensive monitor studios you will find in this price range. In fact, it far exceeds studio monitors that far exceed the mediocre price. The LP-6 reveals every detail in your music - it's wildly honest. Nothing is amplified or weakened to cover imperfections or rejuvenate its sound - what you hear is what you get. In addition to the frequency response thanks to the rule, the LP-6 displays negligible levels of distortion, ample head height and impressive low-end extension for a 6.5 η speaker. Enjoy a huge sound scene with spot-on display, thanks to the LP-6's innovative waveguide design, while the low-noise canopy delivers clear, solid bass. And it sounds great in a plethora of environments, thanks to its off-limit EQ. The LP-6 includes a built-in Class D power amplifier, along with balanced XLR and TRS inputs and an asymmetric RCA input. At the end of the day, you need a studio monitor you can trust - and the Kali Audio LP-6 delivers on all fronts.
Transparent sound
The Lone Pine series is designed to let you listen to every detail of your music. This starts with an extremely accurate frequency response. Everything in your music is what you will hear on your monitors. Nothing is amplified or suppressed to cover the flaws or try to sound more pleasant.
With LP-6, you can combine with more confidence and you can also be sure that your music will translate as best as possible into whatever systems your audience uses.
3-D Waveguide Illustration
The waveguide on Project Lone Pine monitors lets you hear spatial detail and a loud level that is wider, higher and deeper than the space between the speakers.
High dynamic range, low deformation
The large-diameter double-layer voice coil in the LP series helps keep the sound clean and without distortion.
Low noise door hose
The LP-6 and LP-8 speakers also feature the clear, tight bass of a very low-noise front speaker.
High performance
At continuous output, the LP series speakers have at least 20 dB in the listening position. The LP-6 has enough performance for most 1-2 person settings and the LP-8 can easily handle larger settings.
Abundant height ensures that even strong mixtures with high dynamic range will pass clearly.
Bass Power
The bass in LP series monitors is distributed by larger magnets and larger voice coils than any similar speaker on the market. This gives you a more accurate bass response that extends lower so you can call exactly the low-end sound you need.
Easy to use marginal EQ control
The given speaker position in a room can drastically change the frequency response. A speaker mounted against a wall or desk will sound very different from a speaker mounted on a stand, even in a well-crafted space. Hard surfaces such as walls, desktops, and recording consoles can alter the screen's low-frequency response and degrade overall sound clarity.
Fortunately, most of the common positions are quite predictable and easily corrected.
Kali's team did the Boundary EQ tuning at The Village Studios in Los Angeles and found EQ settings for offsetting to help you get the perfect sound for where to place your speakers. Combined with the LF and HF fins, this will ensure that the speakers sound better, regardless of the room in which you mix or where the speakers are placed.
Easy connection
The LP-6 and LP-8 have two symmetrical XLR and TRS inputs and an asymmetric RCA input.
RCA input can be set to -10 dBu sensitivity when using devices such as a laptop or smartphone headphone jack.
Class D power
The built-in Class D power amplifier provides clean and reliable power optimized for this speaker.
Both models use 40W for the 1 "soft tweeter dome. The LP-6 uses 40 W for the 6.3-inch and the LP-8 uses 60 W for the 8-inch woofer.
